DRIVE SMART COLORADO DRIVE SMART COLORADO staff: Maile Gray, director of DRIVE SMART Colorado Springs since 1994, and of DRIVE SMART COLORADO since 1997, is passionate about educating communities about the importance of being “smart” drivers, riders, pedestrians and passengers. She is recognized by her peers in both law enforcement as well as public health. Maile became a NHTSA-certified Child Passenger Safety Technician in 1998. In 2000, she was honored by the Colorado Public Health Association with the Emerging Leader in Public Health award. In 2005 and again in 2008, she received the Colorado State Patrol’s Colonel’s Award for Excellence as well as a Department Commendation from the Colorado Springs Police Department in 2006. Maile will bring her skills and enthusiasm to any traffic-focused issue. Kelli Jones is the Program Coordinator for DRIVE SMART COLORADO. She has co-chaired DRIVE SMART since 2002. Kelli has been a leader in injury prevention in and around the Colorado Springs area for nearly a decade, promoting education and awareness on a variety of safety topics. With an extensive history in the healthcare arena, Kelli brings a unique insight into the world of injury prevention. She has coordinated national conferences and implemented programs geared towards young children, students, parents and community members. Kelli is also a NHTSA-certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.
